About Sparling
Sparling Instruments designs and manufactures fluid flow measuring products used for measuring the flow of liquids in many industries including water production and distribution, wastewater treatment, water remediation, and a myriad of industrial and commercial applications.
Sparling Instruments was founded in 1912 by Ray W. Sparling and began manufacturing propeller meters in 1919 to measure water for irrigation, water distribution facilities and wastewater plants. For the last 90 years, the company has introduced numerous products and systems focused on the measurement of water, chemicals and other liquids. Sparling continues to manufacture its popular Mainline propeller meters, Economag, and TigermagEP.

All Sparling meters are flow tested in one of Sparling's flow labs located at Sparling's El Monte, California
plant. The three labs together comprise one of the largest flow facilities in the United States. Our labs are equipped to test and calibrate magnetic, propeller and vortex flowmeters ranging from 1/10" to 54" in diameter with flow rates from 0.04 gpm to 35,000 gpm attainable. Measurements are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and a certified test report is furnished with every Sparling meter.
